I first encountered the Huber Breaker back in the early spring of 1998. I was flying down Interstate 81, starting on a different odyssey that would lead me across the country for three months. Somewhere outside of Wilkes-Barre I saw the ruins of the Huber Breaker looming off in the distance and made a mental note – ruined building, cool looking, must get back to it. It took nearly ten years for that to happen. I was out on the road that summer for different reasons, my focus on different things. Anyway, I keep going back and will keep going back.
*A note on the camera – this photo was taken with a Holga medium format 120 camera. Photo shot on Tri-X 320, black and white film.
